Outlook 02 Removing Junk Mail Without MS Exchange

I've been getting alot of junkmail, but the rules to filter out junkmail from a particular party require MS Exchange. I'm using a POP3 account. Is there a way to organize junk mail from a particular sender w/o MS Exchange? If I add MS Exchange, how do I do so, and will it mess up my email settings?
