Outlook 07 - does not recognize .docx in attachments

With Office 2007 I thought to uninstall the compatibility pack for 200
from when we had Office 2003. But for some reason that created
problem...in Outlook when an email has an attachment of .docx or .xlsx
when I click on the attachment it prompts, that the file i
unrecognizable and asks which program you would like to open it with.

Why is it doing that when I've got Office 2007 on the computer? Di
something with the Compatibility Pack mess things up? And how can I g
about resolving this

If you removed it after installing Office 2007, yes. Do a repair/reinstall
on Office or manually re-associate the Office 2007 extensions with their
programs accordingly.
