Windows XP just upgraded from Office pro 03 to Office Enterprise 07
I am becoming very frustrated, to say the least, with Office O7. It is
seriously filled with bugs.
The main problem is that the program itself will not close (i.e. file exit
or the X in the upper right hand corner). So, you have to use ctrl alt
delete, which indicates it is not responding, and close it. Thus, when you
reopen it, it goes through and checks the BCM SQL data for errors (and finds
none). This happens all the time, but at least it is functionaly.
Today, however, when I whet through this procedure, when it opened back up
it indicated I had 7646 reminders, which all carried the email symbol. There
should have been zero reminders, so I told it to dismiss all. The computer
is essentially unusable while it takes its time to dismiss them all.
In the same vein, if I open up a contact, I can often not get it to close
with the Save and close or the red X. The only way I can get it to close is
right clicking the contact in the tool bar at the bottom of the screen and
choosing close (which always works).
Is there any workaround or patch? Have have done all the obvious, Windows
Update and Office 07 updates.
