Has anyone reached a precise understanding of the cause of this
problem and a systematic way of preventing it from happening again?
I recently had a client who could not run any other programs besides
Ooutlook on a well equipped workstation. I found that he had 8 or
9,000 messages in "In Box", "Sent" "Deleted Items", etc. After 2hrs.
of archiving, emptying and compacting, I got it to the point where it
still used 100% for several minutes after startup, but then settled
down below 10% thereafter. I'm not completely pleased with my
solution here even though it "worked." Any definitive solutions will
br greatly appreciated.
