Outlook 2000 and 2002 RTF Signature format problems (2 problems)

My machine has outlook 2000 sp3, With XP sp1, another has Outlook 2002 SP2,
with W2K all SPs applied:

I'm trying my hardest to get a uniform appearance for everybody's email sig.

Have used someone's sig as a master template by editing it in word in word,
saved as RTF. This has double line spacing, some bold type, and email/web
addresses as hyperlinks

When I receive an email from the W2k machine running Outlook 2002 Sp2, the
sig's formatting has changed: Single line spacing and different font size,
with a load of HTML stuff inserted before any links, eg mailto: blah blah

When I use my sig, there is also some reference to HTML before the hyperlinks.

How can I ensure uniformity on all 20 PCs?

You might try Outlook Profiler. Not saying it is a
perfect fit. But it will allow you to make a signature
and deploy it to all Outlook Clients and make that
signature default etc..

Mail format is definitely rich Text on Outlook for all machines...

"Use Word to edit email messages" box is not enabled on any machine,
otherwise you can't edit the signature.

Despite this, however, when you do go to "advanced edit", it launches Word
anyway.

My sig currently shows this line before my email address:

Email: HYPERLINK "mailto:somebody'somewhere.com" then it has my email
address as a hyperlink.

I created it on my XP/office 2000 machine.

Is this because the template was created from a sig that was originally
created in HTML format?

Is there a formatting conflict between Outlook and Word, if Word is not
seleced as the email editor, and I'm using Rich Text format?
