outlook 2000 automatically closing

I currently use outlook 2000 and am going to tools,
recover deleted items and it shuts outlook down
completely...I have tried creating a new mail profile,
tried creating a new user profile and totally
reinstalling outlook and the same problem is
occurring...any ideas? help
