outlook 2000 can not send message

I have Windows XP with Outlook 2000...I can receive messages but when I try
to send them I get an error message....0x800ccc0e

That usually means that you can't reach the SMTP server and there are ton of
reasons why this might happen. You do not give enough details about how
you've configured your account to determine where the problem lies.
