Outlook 2000 does not respond after Dec 1, 2003

Good day,

Since yesterday, December-1-2003, after initiating Outlook 2000, the
program freezes. This happens a couple of seconds after the Outlook
window shows up as usual.

Moving the system's date back, e.g. November 30, causes the program to
work as usual.

I have scanned my system for viruses with an updated Norton AntiVirus,
and it came out clean.

I have scanned the pst file with Scanpst and it was OK. Also, I run
Outlook in Safe mode with the same results.

My Outlook 2000 is version 9.0.0.2711 and the OS is Windows 2000 Pro.
Three days ago I installed the latest security updates for Internet
Explorer 6 and Outlook Express.

Any help will be appreciated,

Thanks,

John

Hi there,

I am having the same problem with Outlook 97 and have
tried the various patches and scanned for viruses etc.
This has affected all Office programs on my PC. If I open
outlook I can open a message but when I close the message
the whole system freezes. It has also removed all
services for sending and receiving.

If you get any ideas would be pleased to know.

Thanks.

Robin

John,

It's funny you mention this because I am experiencing the same problem. Before Thanksgiving, I had no problems with Outlook 2000, but when I came back to work on December 1, I have had nothing but headaches. The program will run for 3-4 minutes before it freezes up. Hitting Ctl+Alt+Del tells me the program is not responding. Then I have to close it down, open it back up and wait 3-4 minutes before repeating the cycle.

I will continue to watch this board for an answer because it is driving me crazy.
