outlook 2000 doesn't work after xp home edition upgrade

I am getting error messages when I try to open Microsoft
Outlook 2000 now that I have upgraded to Windows XP
when I try to install office upgrades it asks for the CD
(Office 2000) - I insert the CD and it can't find the file
it is looking for (data1.msi) which is right on the CD but
is not recognized. how do I upgrade outlook to match XP
