Outlook 2000 - emails created by MailMerge from Word

Having applied all the sercurity updates, etc - when I
create emails by mailmerge from word I have to click on
a "Yes" button for EACH email! With over 1000 to be done
(NOT spam!) this is rather time consuming.

a) is there a way of un-installing this "feature" - and if
so, which one do I un-instal

b) if it cannot be un-installed, is there a work-around?

a) You would have to uninstall and reinstall Office.

b) Upgrade to at least Outlook 2002 SP2. Also see
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup.htm#autosec. You might also want to
consider using a third-party mail merge tool that doesn't trigger Outlook
security prompts -- see http://www.slipstick.com/addins/mail.htm#massmail
