outlook 2000 fails to start

Mark

Each time I open Outlook 2000 I get error message: ' Microsoft Outlook has
encountered a problem and needs to close...'. "The instruction at
"0x6d8d516f" referenced memory at "0x010c0139". The memory could not be
"read"

Despite following all instructions - checking for updates, inserting
original installation disks etc., the update installation fails repeatedly
and problem remains.

Any ideas? (I have tried updates without installation disk option too
without success).

Thanks in anticipation.

Same problem happen when you start Outlook in its safe mode?

outlook.exe /safe

That eliminate the load of any enabled add-ins that you have installed into
Outlook.
