Outlook 2000 Professional crushed when I closed any open
email messages. The operating system is Windows XP with
SP1.
The error message is, "Microsoft Outlook has encountered a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience." I look into the error report details and
it contains,
AppName:Outlook.exe AppVer:9.0.0.2416
ModName:Outllib.dll ModVer:9.00.2711 Offset:000871b5
When I open Outlook 2000 again, it opens without any login
password.
I did the "Detect and Repair..." option but that didn't
work.
I uninstall the whole Microsoft Office 2000, deleted
the "Microsoft Office" directory and clear any reference
of Outlook 2000 in the registry and reinstall Microsoft
Office 2000 to a different drive (drive D) but that didn't
work either.
I reinstall Windows XP using the "Update" option only.
just in case there is a corrupt Windows XP file it will be
replaced. After that I re-install "Outlook 2000 SP-1" over
the Outlook 2000.
I scan also the computer for any possible virus infection
using the latest virus definition of Mcafee. Did also
defragmentation on all the drives.
I also disabled all running programs in the background
including antivirus program.
After all what i've done, I am still getting the same
error!!! Is there anybody there experiencing the same
problem? Any possible solution? I dont want to format and
re-install everything just only to correct this problem in
outlook 2000. Please email me at
[email protected] if you have any solutions that
work. Any help is greatly appreciated!
