Greetings all.
I need Outlook 2000 clients (configured for IMAP) to be
able to download the full mail content of the IMAP inbox,
so that all content is available in offline mode.
I have tested and verified this works like a charm with
Outlook 2003, because there is an Option at "Extras",
~"Delivery Properties, ~"Define Delivery Groups" (sorry,
this is only a translation of the menu points from the
german version of Outlook 2003), where it's possible to
set folder properties so to download all mail content
instead of the mail headers only.
However, with Outlook 2000, I do not find anything.
Microsoft Knowledge Database and Google is not helpful at
all ;( The only thing I found out is that I can
press "Extras", "Download", "All Elements" (sorry again,
this is only a translation of german Outlook 2000
version). This will download all folder content manually.
How can I do this automatically? If you guys happen to
know any registry settings, patches or maybe even 3rd
party addons that will make this work, please get in touch
with me.
Why do I need this? I have notebook users who are out of
the office often enough and need to work with their IMAP
mails even when they are offline (e.g. in a plane). I do
not want to make use of Exchange solutions, so please do
not reply with imap alternatives.
Should you know a trick, I'd be happy to find out. I
rarely check Microsoft Newsgroups, so please Cc: to my
email address [email protected]-polyant.com
(please read this email address twice, hehe).
Thanks much.
