Windows XP Pro SP2; installed automatically, 10 Sep 2004.
I have about 130 messages in my Outbook. They will not send.
My outlook file is less than 2GB in size.
I ran scanpst.exe, which found multiple problems and reportedly fixed all
problems. No improvement in performance.
Tonight, I created a folder "outbox_test" and moved the messages to
Outbox_test. Then I created a new message and sent it successfully.
I have moved 7 of the messages back to "outbox". But Outlook does not
recognize their existence, when I click "send / receive. But, if I create a
new
message [ to myself ], then click on "send", it departs & arrives promptly.
Other problems. I had no menu bar. I closed Outlook, renamed outcmd.dat to
outcmd.tad, opened Outlook. Ta DAH! My menu bar re-appeared.
When I close Outlook, I am informed that there are messages in my Outbox. I
am asked if I would like to send them now. If I click "no", I am informed
of a Visual C++ run time error.
Program: c:\program fiels\micosoft office\office\outlook.exe. This
application has requesed the runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please
contact the application's support team for more information.
Thanks for your attention to my problem.
