Outlook 2000 sending mail error

J

Janie

I am trying to send message via Outlook 2000 and get the
following error message:

The message could not be sent because one of the
recipients was rejected by the server. Server
Response: '500 [PERMFAIL] destination not valid within
DSN'. (Account: 'mail.comcast.net', SMTP
Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Error Number: 0x800ccc79).

I have called the ISP, Comcast and they say that the SMTP
Server information is correct and wash their hands of the
problem. Has anyone run into this problem and know how to
handle it? I do not get the error message when I use
Outlook Express and the e-mail account is set up the same
way in both. Also, I get the error message when I have my
firewall on or off.

Thanks
Janie
