Outlook 2000 - Sent Items Gone

When I select the sent items folder, all of my sent items
are gone. Where did they go? My inbox is still intact as
well as my other folders, but my sent items are empty.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

That wasn't it. I still only have the sent items from
earlier today. All other sent items are not there.
Any other suggestions?
