Outlook 2000 vs 2004

Apparently in Outlook 2000 when you are in the folder list and you
move from one group to another (calendar to tasks to inbox) even if
you click on the folder, an item in the window on the right that opens
will still be highlighted. But in 2004 you need to click or tab to
get into that window. Is there any hotfix or change so that it will
mirror what it used to do in 2000?

are you using outlook today? they did change how focus works between two
versions but there is also a bug that removes focus if you use outlook
today. The bug will not be fixed and using tab or shift+tab will brings
screens back in focus.

No, the issue isn't with Outlook today. In 2000 they had the
Shortcut's window that seemed to switch from folder to folder without
taking the focus out of the main window, now with the folder list and
the buttons that are below it, it seems to move the focus to the
button and not the main window.

are you using outlook today? they did change how focus works between two

screens back in focus.

in outlook 2003 should stay on the message list. If you view outlook today
it screws up the focus and it may not keep the message list in focus.

Are you saying if I have EVER opened Outlook Today it's screwed up for
the rest of time?

But do you use Outlook today? If you don't ever look at outlook today, focus
in outlook 2003 should stay on the message list.  If you view outlook today
it screws up the focus and it may not keep the message list in focus.

only until you close outlook and restart it or reboot. Then it should be
fine until you open outlook today again.
