Outlook 2000 will no longer load

I have successfully used Outlook 2000 for many years and suddenly it will not
load. When no other applications are running I get a "Virtual Memory Minimum
Too Low. Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory" message.

When this first started happening, Outlook would load but it took 3 or 4
minutes to do so. For the last 5 days it will not load at all, yet, I can
have open IE, Excel, Word, etc.

I have 496MB of memory and 57MB of disk space available.

I don't believe I've archived any of my messages since installing Outlook if
this is helpful.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem.

Have you tried increasing the amount of virtual memory manually before
starting Outlook?

In addition to increasig your virtual memory, how big is your Outlook PST
file? The maximum size is 2 GB though it can become a challenge after about
1.6 GB or so.

Thanks. I increased my page file size from 1,488 to 2,000 and I was able to
get Outlook to start. It took 3-4 minutes to load so I may have some other
issues but at least I'm functional again.

Thank you again.

I was able to get Outlook to load by increasing the page file from 1,488 to
2,000. I checked my pst file size and I'm only around 400MB so that doesn't
seem to be an issue.

Thanks again for your response.

What a great resource this community is.

Why don't you let the machine manage the size automatically.
