Outlook 2000 with Comcast

I'm considering installing Outlook 2000 to use with my Comcast email. I have
instructions from Comcast on how to set this up, but they weren't able to
tell me if I can still access my Comcast email from another computer (via
their web site as I do now) once I've installed Outlook. My son told me to
be careful with this as I may end up with all my messages residing on my home
PC and no longer have acess to them from other locations. Does anyone know
if this is the case? Are there other issues I should be concerned with? The
Comcast email software sucks, so going to Outlook, which I use at work, would
be a definite plus.

Go to the "Advanced" tab for your mail account to be able to leave your
messages on the server. You'll have to delete mail from the server
eventually, so either pick one of the methods on that tab, or pick one of
your machines to *not* leave messages on the server (my home machine
downloads and deletes the messages from the server, whereas my work machine
leaves the messages on the server, for example).
