How can I recover my inbox for outlook 2000?

magpie
upgraded to Outlook 2002 with disk form dell for my axim, had problems with
getting mail did a detect and repair would not work, reverted back to 2000
all was fiine no folders lost then had issue with 2000 did a detect nd repair
but when it came back all the folders were gone from INBOX, all the pst
files still exist but how do I get them back into outlook INBOX.

Shall we try to get it to work with Outlook 2002 as well?
Start by installing Outlook 2002
Then recreate your mail profile;
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles
To access your current pst-file in the new profile;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...
To set it as the default delivery location;
Tools-> E-mail Accounts...-> button Next-> use the dropdownlist below

Hey Roady i have outlook 2000 on my work computer and on my home computer.
On my home computer I don't have certain options (like setting up second
profile) or ( adding a from button). In the about page it says my Outlook
2000 is 9.0.0.271 INTERNET MAIL ONLY

Aren't we dealing with this in m.p.outlook already?
