I am running Windows XP with all the updates. Then, one day, Outlook decided
that deleting emails was no fun, so it puts them back for me as if I never
deleted them. What gives? And thank you!

Outlook reports it's in IMO mode.

Do you leave copies on the server? Perhaps Outlook is forgetting that it
has downloaded the mesages in the past and had redownloaded them.
