Outlook 2000

When emails are sent to me they only stay in my inbox for
a short time and then they go to my deleted items.
No rules are set up at all - no deliberate changes made.
How do I stop the new emails going to my deleted foler?
I am using Outlook 2000 on Win2K pc - service pack 2.

Please help

You can actually see them in your Deleted Items folder? If so, there must
be some rule or filter somewhere doing it, if you aren't doing it yourself.
