Outlook 2001 does not work after loading Panther

I loaded Panther and now Outlook will not work. I can adjust/confirm
settings through the Outlook's control panel which means the program
is somehow communicating with the Exchange server. But, when I start
the actual program, Outlook says it cannot connect to my personal
folders and shuts down. I have removed and reinstalled the program
with the same results. Does anyone have a work-around for this?
