Outlook 2002 and multiple email accounts

Have Outlook 2002 on XP. I have created 2 email accounts
(POP3) and Rules to download into separate Inbox
folders. Everything works fine unless I "close" Outlook
or have to reboot. Then one of the accounts (flagged as
default account) will no longer Send emails. Both
accounts will continue receiving, but cannot send.

If I "remove" the default account and re-enter it from
scratch it works until the next time I close applicaton
or reboot.

Have found many posts about creating multiple accounts,
but nothing that seems to address this problem.

Any ideas? All help appreciated! Thanks...
