Outlook 2002 and Windows XP fax

I have been using Outlook 2000 for some time, but recently upgraded to 2002.
Since then fax fails to work. If I uninstall and reinstall fax it works
until the next reboot, when it again becomes inoperative. The normal failure
comes at the end of the Fax wizard, when the system fails to dial or show the
content of the faxt.

Any ideas would be welcome.
