Outlook 2002 Calendar

Ted

My company has an Exchange 2000 Server with clients
running Outlook 2002. One of my users complained today
that Outlook 2002 closes when she tries to view her
calendar. She can't view any part of it. Outlook simply
closes. OUTLOOK.EXE still appears in the task manager. I
can also restart Outlook without any problems (except for
the calendar). The calendar is accessible through
Outlook Web Access. I've done the following:

1. Repaired Office
2. Deleted her profile and recreated it
3. Uninstalled/reinstalled Office XP and applied all
service packs.
4. Deleted her Exchange Mailbox and recreated it (on the
chance that there may be corruption in her Exchange
mailbox).

Still have the same problem. Finally, I gave permission
to another user and was successfully able to view her
calendar from another user's Outlook 2002.

Any idea what might be the problem and how to fix it?

Thanks!

I would have thought it was a corrupt item in her calendar
until you said that someone else could view her calendar.

I would suggest that you clean out her Forms Cache.

If you close outlook (on the client).
Perform a FIND (click on desktop and press <F3>)
(If you are using XP or W2K operating system be
sure to look in hidden files)
Look for FRMCACHE.DAT file.
Delete it from the find window.
Restart Outlook.

When you restart Outlook it will rebuild a fresh new
FRMCACHE.DAT file.

Outlook uses forms on everything. It could be that
somehow the FORMS CACHE is retaining incorrect
form information.
