Outlook 2002 cannot find object

While doing several resynchroniziations (using MS
ActiveSync 3.7.1) between my PC using Outlook 2002 and my
HP iPAQ 3835 I encountered a problem with Outlook 2002 on
my PC. I probably caused it, but need to know if it can be
fixed. My Outlook 2002 on my PC shows appointments that I
can no longer work with. I need to change the dates of
these appointments, but can't because every time I try to
open or move the appointments I get the following
message "Cannot open this item. The object cannot be
found". Can this be fixed or can I delete these
appointments somehow? I have tried renaming the
Outlook.pst file and starting fresh and re-synching with
my iPAQ. It doesen't work. Does anyone have an idea here?
