Outlook 2002, Can't send/reply

My Outlook 2002 now fails to send or allow replies. I tried doing the send
test and the first 4 steps worked but the final step (send test msg) did not.
Have checked port settings and security settings and they seem ok to me. The
email I am using is on a different ISP than the one I am currently using. I
have checked with the ISPs and they say my setup is correct.
A presumably unrelated problem is that, even though I have more than one
email set up for Outlook to check, it only checks the first one. Is there a
parameter that is set for the max number of emails.

Try actually sending a message, then post the error message you get - the
"test account" button doesn't provide as much information as it should.

Do you mean you have more than one account set up and Outlook only
downloads from one account? If so, do you get error messages for the other
accounts?

Thanks Jeff - the detailed error msg is a code "0x800CCC0F" saying the
connection to the server wa interrupted and to contact the server
administrator or the ISP - which did not help me to understand what went
wrong. The sent email stays in the Outbox. Sending it from there does not
send it either. The only thing that I am aware of that changed from when it
did work was from the automatic updates from MicroSoft and Norton.
Regarding the account issue I have cut back to 2 email accounts from the 4 I
had before to see if I could make it work. It previously only processed the
first 2 accounts, now only the first (default) one. It totally ignores any
other email accounts - no error msg, nothing.
Thanks for any guidance you can offer.
Mike
