Outlook 2002 Find Not Working

Windows 2000 SP4, Outlook 2002 SP3 (10.6515.6735)

Using Find or Advanced Find from either toolbar or menu returns no documents
even when searching on know item in known message in folder.

"Search All Text in Each Message" is selected.

Even pressing "Stop" doesn't make Find stop. Must click "Find" again to get
view of messages back in folder.

Did much internet searching with no real success.
