In Outlook Express, it is very easy to block senders of e-mail. Can
this be done in Outlook 2002?

Define a rule that looks for whatever string you want in the From
header. Or enable Junk filtering and then right-click on their message
to add the sender to the Junk Sender list.

So, has blocking spam senders really been effective for you? You think
those abusive and spamming senders actually use the same e-mail address
in the From header everytime they send you another message?

Ding dong. Who is it? John. I'm blocking John.
Ding dong. Who is it? Mark. Hey, you look like John so now I'm
blocking Mark, too.
Ding dong. Who is it? Martha (in a falsetto voice). You look like
John, aka Mark. Now blocking Martha.
Ding dong. Who is it? Candygram. You're John, aka Mark, aka Martha.
Now blocking Candygram.
<repeat ad nauseum>

So the saga continues with the respondent repeatedly blocking the same
sender over and over. I've seen users with thousands of entries in
their block list and it stops so little spam that it is tantamount to
spitting in the ocean to raise its water level.

Add the address to your Junk Senders list.
