outlook 2002 imports double messages from outlook express

for some reason, my outlook 2002 (a new copy) seems to
import two of each message from my old outlook express
inbox. does anyone have any thoughts on why this may be
happening, and what i could do to fix it?

an e-mail response would be great, otherwise i'll check
back on the board in a couple days.

Exporting from Outlook Express to Outlook generally works better.
