Outlook 2002 Inbox slowness

my emails are not showing up instantly within my inbox.
what could cause this to happen - all the settings when
outlook are set correctly.

thanks for any assistance

What sort of account(s) do you have? What do you mean by "slowness" - does
it take a while (maybe 5 seconds) to move between messages, or are you not
seeing new messages when they arrive?
