Outlook 2002 info

Need to delete/reformat harddrive (running out of space on "C" drive), getting rid of partions (will only have/need ONE drive "C"). How can I save/xfer (.PST) info back to hardrive (from external harddrive) after format/reinstall XP PRO on my computer? I have LOTS & LOTS of info in Outlook that I do not want to lose or try to reconstruct.
