Outlook 2002 - Message Options

I cannot find any information on what the "Expire after" option actually does. This is found in the Message Option dialog box when sending a message where you can apply items such as read receipts, etc.

Three things:

1) After the expiration date, a message will appear in the folder with a
strikethrough.
2) AutoArchive is set by default to delete expired messages.
3) In Outlook 2003, a message protected with Windows Rights Management will
not be available at all after its expiration date.
