Outlook 2002 Problems!

Having following problems with Outlook 2002:

* Getting this message when I try to delete any messages from
OUTLOOK, or add new entries to Calendar and Contacts:

"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart Outlook."

* I've restarted OUTLOOK -- and rebooted computer -- several
times, no luck.

* Also cannot receive new messages (get unknown error) -- and
OUTLOOK says not sending e-mail and sent message piling up in outbox
-- but recipients are actually getting the e-mails!!

Suggestions? Is this something "Detect and Repair" will handle?

BTW, I have Dell (bought 2002), running XP Home.

Thx.

First thing to try would be to run ScanPST.EXE on your PST file.

Did this problem just randomly occur or have you just started using Outlook?

OK, here's what I discovered what the problem was and how I fixed it.

Apparently I was approaching the 2G limit for the OUTLOOK PST file
(thanks, Microsoft, for the head's up -- is this a feature or a
pflub?).

As it happens, SHIFT-DELETE still wroked -- so I just cleaned out
enough e-mails to make OUTLOOK happy.

Go figure.

Thx. to all.
