Outlook 2002 Removes Attachments When Forwarding

Usine Office XP, recently when I receive an e-mail with an attachment and try to forward it to another, they receive the e-mail without the attachment. I've tried changing from text to HTML to rtf to using Word as my editor...nothing changes, receipients using all different e-mail programs (AOL, Eudora, OE, etc.), all experience the same issue. Microsoft can't solve this despite 4 or 5 phone calls (my toll) and have closed my case "Unresolved"

Well, you should definitely not use RTF, and probably not Word as e-mail
editor either. Try this -- pick a contact in your Contacts folder that you
have tried sending an attachment to without success. Open that contact
record, double-click the e-mail address, and look in the Internet Format
box. Does it specify Rich Text format is always to be used for that
recipient?

Noswal, I am having the same problem, across many computers. It appears to only happen when sending from Outlook to any other mail client, but no problems when being forwarded to another computer using Outlook. Even forwarding an e-mail to Outlook Express seems to fail. As a temporary workaround we have changed our message format in all instances of Outlook. Go to Tools > Options > Email Settings and switch "when forwarding a message" to "add original message as attachment" (something like that, I can't quite remember the terminology) and it will work. However, all forwarded messages will now be attachments themselves, which is kind of annoying. Have you found a better method
