Outlook 2002 sending multiple copies of emails stuck in outbox

Just an FYI. I have had terrible problems with emails stuck in the
outbox that send multiple copies over and over again. As per the
suggestions in this group, I changed my server timeouts and disabled my
virus software from scanning outbound messages, all to no avail.
Finally I figured out that when the outlook.pst file gets too big, it
starts misbehaving. Mine was approaching 2 MB, not much by today's
standards. I had to make a new personal folder, then move a bunch of
the emails into the new folders. I suppose I could have archived them
also.
