Outlook 2002: Sometimes user cannot create new appointment in calendar by double clicking

One of my users has an intermittent problem with her Outlook calendar.
Usually she has no problems adding a new appointment by just double
clicking on the appropriate time slot. However, later on she sometimes
has an issue where nothing happens when she does this, and she has to
go to the menu and go file\new\appointment in order to create a new
one. Any ideas?
