Outlook 2002 SP-2 Rules Marking Messages as Read Inadvertently

Hello:

All of a sudden all messages are being moved by rules
from my inbox to sub folders but are being marked as
read. I have to scroll through all of my folders to find
new messages.

I double-checked all of my rules and NONE of them have
the selection to mark messages as read before moving them.

I have made no changes to my setup or added new software
lately. The rules seemed to be working fine a day ago
and this just started on its own.

I am running XP Pro and Outlook 2002 with SP-2.

Any clues?

Under the preview pane option in tools>accounts>other, do you have the
option checked to mark messages read when they are moved?
