Outlook 2002/SP3 Won't Launch

At least 50% of the time Outlook 2002 won't launch. I'm using XP Pro. Other
than Photoshop CS2, Office, and BitDefender A/V, I have no other software
installed.

When I try and launch Outlook, the hourglass appears and then disappears
without launching Outlook. If I do so several times, I get the same results.
No error message pops up.

Clicking ctr/alt/del gives me a "outlook.exe" not responding window or
successive windows if I attempted to lauch more than once.

Restarting my PC usually - but not always - fixes the problem until the next
day or so.

I can find nothing in MS knowldege base that addresses this.

Help!! (Thanks)

When you Ctrl+alt+Del, if you look in running processess, you will likely
find several instances of outlook.exe, you have to terminate all of these
before you can attempt a restart of outlook.
You are I assume using winxp?
Has the problem allways existed or only since you updated to sp3?

When Outlook is *not* running (check Task Manager), start Outlook in
Safe Mode (Start -> Run -> outlook /safe) and see if the problem also
occurs.
