outlook 2002 .txt attachments

I am having a strange problem with Outlook 2002. Most of
the emails that I am recieving are arriving with an
attachment that is a .txt file with the name of the
subject line (i.e if the subject of the incoming email
is "outlook", then the attachment is "outlook.txt). The
content of the .txt file is basically the body of the
email message itself. I have scanned for viruses, but
Norton didn't find any. Not sure why these .txt
attachements are there. Would greatly appreciate any
suggestions...
