has latest updates.
has worked for about a year.
takes forever to start, if at all.
if it starts, response is slow.
no error messages, just slow or frozen.

what list of things should i try?

1) Disable IM integration with Tools>Options>Other (it's at the bottom).
2) Close Outlook and delete or rename outcmd.dat in
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
