outlook 2002/word 97

I have office 97 on my computer and have no desire to
upgrade.

I recently purchased a new pocket PC PDA and its
installation program put outlook 2002 onto my PC. I am now
unable to use MS word as my email editor because outlook
2002 will not apparently work with word 97.

Is there a way around this or do I need to uninstall
outlook 2002 and go back to an earlier version?

Or will microsoft recognise the problem that their PDA
software has caused and provide me a newer copy of office
free of charge :)

Don't count on it! Microsoft will just tell you to use Outlook as your email
editor.

On a side note, why do you want Word for email editing?
