Outlook 2002

I do NOT intend to upgrade to another version of Outlook. The 200
version is working fine for me. I just have one question. In ne
messages, in the "to" field, how do you get the option of typing th
display name for the e-mail? I can't remember everyone's e-mail addres
and want to just type in their name and have their e-mail come up.
used to be able to do this and then had some changes and trie
Thunderbird for awhile where you can do that, but I prefer Outlook 200
because it syncs with my cell phone, and is more versatile i
formatting.

I know I could click on "to" and type in the name, but that's an extr
step. I used to be able to just type the name in the "to" field and i
would complete it or give me options to choose from. THAT is what I a
looking for

One way is to enter the first three characters of a contact and then press
Ctrl-K. If your contact is unique, it will resolve to the address right away.
If not, Outlook will present a list of contacts matching the string and allow
you to choose.

If you want autocompletion to work, click Tools>Options>E-mail
Options>Advanced E-mail Options and click the box near the bottom that's
labeled "Suggest names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields." Outlook
should remember each address you enter into a message recipient field and
present it to you the next time you start typing that same string.
