Outlook 2003, ActiveSync and Guest Partnership

Here's what I'm seeing repeatedly.

I do development work on PPCs and have a development PPC and my personal
PPC. I've got a partnership setup with personal PPC and my smartphone. I
(obvioulsy) don't have a partnership with the development PPC. OL is
running with PSTs, no Exchange server. When no device is in the cradle or a
partnered device is in the cradle, no problems checking all my POP3
accounts. The minute I put in the guest device receiving fails. I'm not
sure if sending fails or not, I've not tried it. Doesn't matter if I cradle
the guest device first then open OL or the other way around. Both fail. I
upgraded from OL XP which worked fine with the setup.

Thanx for any advice. I couldn't find anything in the KB about this.
