Outlook 2003 - ad hoc Connectivity

Hi,

We are about to deploy off2k3 to the enterprise, but
we've come across a problem with outlook. Outlook is
configured with using cached Exchange mode. exchange
servers are currently 5.5 will be upgraded to 2003.

This may be the way outlook 2003 works, but this may be a
problem for some of our *standard* users. In that
Outlook doesnt go offline automatically when LAN is
disconnected whilst Outlook is open. Outlook stays in
disconnected mode (even though I have configured outlook
to automatically detect connection state). Only when the
user changes to offline mode (manually), that when a
connection is to the server is required it will prompt
for a dial-up connection. Ideally we would like outlook
to go in to offline mode once it has been established
that LAN is no longer available. Any info regards to
configuring this would be greatly appreciated.

Also if more info is required, please let me know.

Thanks
Raj.
