Outlook 2003 Add Email Account Disabled

I am attempting to add a new email account to my Outlook 2003 setup.
Whenever I attempt to add an account, either via the "Mail" link in the
Control Panel or via the Outlook 2003 application, after I select the "Add a
new e-mail account" radio button in the Add / change email accounts wizard,
all options are greyed out.

Does anyone have any ideas how to re-enable the ability to add new accounts?

Is Outlook closed?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Tomdoc asked:

Is this on a machine at work? If so, did you ask the admin if it's allowed?

If it's a personal machine, did you activate outlook within 50 uses? See

I have tried to add the account with Outlook both closed and opened - the add
account option is disabled in both cases. The Outlook 2003 software that I
am using is provided by the company that I work for, but being used on a
personal laptop. I believe that the installation may restrict the ability to
add new accounts; however, since the installation is on my personal machine,
I do not have qualms with overriding this inability to add new accounts. Is
it possible to do so via either an online program or registry tweak?
