Outlook 2003 - Add-ins causing time-run errors

Both my husband and I have Office Professional Edition 2003 which includes
Outlook 2003. Both of us have disabled add-ins - one which he really needs
and one which I will need eventually.

One of the add-ins - is Norton Anti-Spam. The other is the auto-reply
manager. What happens with both of these items is that when Outlook is
opening, there is a time-run error regarding the respective add-in and
Outlook does not open. When we try to reopen Outlook, we get a message that
the add-in caused a problem and we have the option to disable the add-in. We
have to disable the add-in, or we get the time-run error again. Can you
provide any help with this?

Thanks for your time!

Wiht Outlook closed, rename extend.dat (hidden file if you are using Windows Search to find it) to .old. Reopen Outlook and see if it behaves any better.

I did as you suggested, and it seems to have worked for the auto-reply
problem - but not for the Norton Anti-spam problem. Any other ideas?

Thanks a ton!
