Outlook 2003 and Word XP compatibility

Tasha

I upgraded to Outlook 2003 but didn't upgrade Office for
numerous reasons. Now when I try to send e-mails to my
contacts under the "Actions" feature in Outlook, I get a
message "can't create the item" or a message that current
version of word is not compatible with Outlook 2003.
Need a way around this without installing Word 2003.
HELP!

Hi Tasha,
if you want to send Mails in HTML with Word, you have to upgrade it to
Word2003.
So you have to send only Text Mails! There you dont need Word for it.

"Use Office Word 2003 as e-mail editor is not even
checked". I'm not sure why the system continues to try
to use it.

Have you disabled Word as your e-mail editor? Tools |
Options | Mail Format tab...clear the checkbox for "Use
Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages".

What feature under the Actions menu are you trying to use? It may be one of
the features that is not supported when the versions of Outlook and Word
don't match.
