i'm making some tests before to migrate to "Outlook 2003"
from "Outlook Express". I'm interested by archive feature
but, it seems that all imported mails from OE can not be
archived (all the new mails can).
Somebody knows how to solve this ?

When using the archive feature, Outlook uses the Last Modified date of
messages, not the date received or any other date. Therefore, if you
imported/exported messages from Outlook Express into Outlook, the Last
Modified date would be the date that you brought them into Outlook and those
messages will not auto-archive until the default amount of days after they
were "Last Modified".

However, the OP can still approximate archiving them by creating a new PST,
making it the default delivery location, and then exporting from OE all the
messages considered "archives". This will place them all in the PST just
created. The OP can then go back to OL and change the default delivery
location again, setting it back to whatever PST had been in use. All the
OE-exported messages will be in the other PST, not the main one.

Thanks, when i select "last modified field" in custom
view, i can see that all mails have their modified field
equal to importing date.
Do you know a way to change the value of the modified
field (vbscript ?)

Try exporting using OE rather than importing using OL. Exporting from OE
seems to preserve more of the date information in the message items.
